Law enforcement authorities have notified Alyona Pidlypna of suspicion, who participated in organizing the illegal referendum in Kherson Oblast.
This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, Pidlypna, while on the temporarily occupied territory of Beryslav district, voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers. No later than September 23, 2022, she joined an illegally created precinct election commission in the village of Kostyrka of the Novoray community. The investigation believes that the motive for her actions was monetary reward.
During the period from September 23 to 27, 2022, Pidlypna, together with representatives of the illegal election commission and Russian military personnel, visited the homes of Kostyrka residents, collected “ballots” in transparent boxes bearing the symbols of the Russian Federation, and urged people to vote. According to the investigation, she helped the occupiers create the appearance of support for the accession of Kherson Oblast to the Russian Federation.
Alyona Pidlypna is accused of collaborationist activity — participating in the organization and conduct of an illegal referendum by prior conspiracy of a group of persons (part 2 of art. 28 and part 5 of art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
