The adoptive great-grandson of the CPSU Central Committee General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev, Anton Milaev, was taken prisoner by marines of the 34th Brigade.
This was reported by the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen” on Facebook.
“Russian media were looking for an explanation for the disappearance of Brezhnev’s great-grandson. It turned out that all this time he had been held captive by Ukrainian marines”, – the post reads.
It is known that Anton Milaev is the adoptive grandson of Brezhnev’s daughter — Halyna. In the autumn of 2025 he voluntarily signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence and went to war against Ukraine as a sapper. By November of last year the occupier stopped contacting his relatives.
Later his family learned that Milaev was alive and was being held captive in territory of Kherson region under Ukrainian control.
The Coordination Headquarters have already officially confirmed his capture.
