On December 9, at the age of 91, gynecologic oncologist, Honored Doctor of Ukraine and longtime specialist of the Kherson Regional Oncology Center Oleksandr Puliaiev died.
This was reported by the Department of Health of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
Oleksandr Puliaiev worked at the institution from 1966 to 2021. He established the region’s school of oncogynecologists and trained several generations of doctors.
The specialist was one of the first to introduce modern methods of treating oncogynecological diseases in the region, in particular performing complex surgical interventions and using radiation therapy.
