Satellite images have recorded the aftermath of the attack on the Chongar Bridge, which connects annexed Crimea and the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region. In particular, next to the damaged structure Russian forces deployed a pontoon crossing.

In the photos taken after the attack on the night of June 7, dark marks from hits are visible in the central part of the bridge. A pontoon crossing was also recorded next to it, which the occupiers use to maintain traffic after the structure was damaged.
Journalists also note that Russian forces may have prepared in advance for possible strikes on the Chongar Bridge. Analysis of satellite images from previous years showed that a pontoon crossing first appeared near the bridge as early as June 2023. Later it began to be placed directly under the structure.
Recall, during the night of June 7 the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the bridge in Chongar. After this the occupiers temporarily closed traffic through the automobile checkpoint “Dzhankoy”.
On June 8 traffic there was supposedly restored in reverse mode, but already on June 9 the bridge was attacked again.
On June 10 the occupation authorities reported an attempted missile strike on one of the bridges connecting Henichesk and the Arabat Spit. After this traffic was also stopped.
