The government is simplifying the mechanism for providing temporary housing to internally displaced persons. Organizations that provide shelter to IDPs can rent state and municipal property on preferential terms.
This was announced by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
It is noted that public associations and charitable organizations can rent premises for IDP housing at a symbolic rate — 0.01 of the calculated rent.
State and municipal institutions in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, physical culture and sports, and social protection can rent property for placing IDPs without an auction — for 1 hryvnia per year for each facility.
In addition, business companies with a state share of over 50% can transfer their real estate for IDP accommodation for the period of martial law and for another six months after its end — also for 1 hryvnia per year.
“These conditions simplify access to vacant dormitories, sanatoriums, training bases and other premises and allow communities to more quickly arrange temporary accommodation for people who were forced to leave their homes because of the war”, – Svyrydenko said.
Earlier we wrote that the Pension Fund resumes payments to IDPs and pensioners from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
