The court handed down a sentence to Kherson region resident Tetiana Zoshchuk, who during the occupation helped the invaders conduct an illegal referendum.
This is stated in the relevant court decision.
The investigation established that in September 2022 Zoshchuk voluntarily agreed to organize pseudo-voting in the village of Muzykivka. She received voter lists and ballots, after which, together with armed Russian servicemen, she began going door-to-door among local residents.
During the so-called voting, the woman urged people to support the accession of Kherson region to the Russian Federation, issued ballots, and kept records of those who participated in the referendum.
Witnesses told the court that during the door-to-door visits Zoshchuk was in high spirits and actively cooperated with the occupiers.
According to law enforcement, Zoshchuk is currently hiding from justice in temporarily occupied Henichesk.
Having examined the evidence and eyewitness testimony, the court in absentia found Tetiana Zoshchuk guilty of collaborationist activity.
She was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months’ imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Earlier we wrote that the occupation head of Arkhangelska Sloboda Olena Zhosan received an in absentia sentence.
