The 2025-26 heating season became the toughest for Kherson in the entire history of independent Ukraine.
This was reported on television by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.
“The operation of the Kherson CHP was suspended as a result of constant Russian attacks. All facilities of “Khersonteploenergo” were shelled. Due to the security situation it was not possible to start the boiler houses in the Korabel neighborhood”, – said the official.
However, he said, thanks to the partnership of residents it was possible to provide alternative heating sources.
Note that in the coming days in Kherson the heating season is ending. Heat supply to centralized heating facilities will be stopped on March 23. Meanwhile, for residential buildings with individual heating the season will continue until the end of April.
