The occupation-appointed head of Kakhovka, Pavlo Filipchuk, received another sentence for collaborationist activities.
This is stated in the relevant court verdict.
As the investigation established, in 2023 he took the position of the occupation-appointed head of the so-called Kakhovka municipal district.
In this sham position, Filipchuk directly managed subordinates in the illegal administration, organized financial and material support for its activities, participated in meetings of the occupation council of deputies, and so on.
It was also recorded that he dealt with infrastructure issues, the payment of salaries in the budgetary sphere according to Russian standards, and coordinating the work of municipal services.
On his Telegram channel, Filipchuk personally reported on the so-called transition from the military-civil administration to the municipality, spoke about work trips to Moscow and receiving the credentials as head from the occupation governor Volodymyr Saldo.
Having examined the evidence, the court in absentia found Pavlo Filipchuk guilty of collaborationist activities (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). For the aggregate of crimes he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Recall that Filipchuk already has sentences for treason and collaborationism — each 15 years.
In March this year he claimed that he came under drone attack on the left bank of the Kherson region. According to Filipchuk, it was far from the first attempt on his life.
