The occupying authorities announced their intention to develop the berthing and yacht infrastructure of the Henichesk district (a territorial unit introduced by the occupying authorities, equivalent to a community — MOST).
This was reported by the occupying governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.
According to him, the project of the so-called master plan of the municipality provides for the reconstruction of ten sea berths in Henichesk, as well as the construction of eight new berths in Henichesk, Henichesk Hirka, Shchaslyvtseve, Strilkove, Azovske and on Biryuchyi Island.
In addition, the occupiers plan to create two mooring places for small, sailing and pleasure vessels in Henichesk and Shchaslyvtseve.
According to representatives of the occupying authorities, these decisions are allegedly intended to improve transport accessibility and make the TOT of Kherson region attractive to tourists and investors.
Earlier the occupying governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said, that in 2025 the region was allegedly visited by more than 250 thousand tourists.
Recall, the occupying administration of Kherson region once again announced the drafting of a concept for the development of the coastal areas of the Black and Azov Seas.
Earlier, Saldo admitted that there is no demand for tourist services on the left bank of Kherson region.
And in the summer of 2024 he said that the tourist season in Kherson region before Russia’s full-scale invasion was much better.
At the same time, Kherson region itself, due to Russian aggression, risks turning into an environmental disaster zone. Environmental damage to the region currently amounts to over UAH 159 billion.
