Occupiers note that the collections of paintings stolen from Kherson museums are held in isolation in Crimea.
This was said by the occupation minister of culture of the region, Artem Lahoyskyi.
He said that 10 thousand paintings are currently in Crimea: the art museum’s collection — in Simferopol, and the local history museum’s — in Sevastopol.

According to Lahoyskyi, works by Aivazovsky, Shishkin and other masters are not exhibited due to “the tightness of the collections” in Crimean museums and «security concerns».

Earlier we wrote that the paintings stolen by Russians from the Kherson Local History Museum appeared in the international wanted database.
Recall that in autumn 2022 Russian forces looted the two largest museums in Kherson Oblast – the regional local history museum and the regional art museum.
Recently HUR published data about individuals, involved in the theft of cultural heritage from Kherson region.
