The court handed down a sentence to a resident of Kakhovka district, Olena Zhosan, who cooperated with the occupation authorities and became the head of a pseudo-administration.
This is stated in the relevant court verdict.
As the investigation established, in September 2022 Olena Zhosan voluntarily took the position of the so‑called head of the occupation administration of the village Arkhanhelska Sloboda of the Zelenopidska community.
In this position she prepared propagandistic cultural and mass events, managed property and recruited employees for the occupation administration.
Having examined the evidence, the court found Olena Zhosan guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 8 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.
