The occupation-appointed head of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, claims that about 5 thousand shops, pharmacies, cafes, and household service enterprises operate on the left bank.
This was reported by pro-Russian media.
According to him, since 2022 the number of pharmacies has allegedly increased from 39 to 177, and mobile shops that serve remote settlements — from 13 to 54.
Furthermore, Saldo says there are more than 170 pickup points in the region for orders of goods from other regions.
Recall that the situation on the left bank of Kherson oblast is characterized by a deep systemic crisis and an infrastructure collapse.
Since the beginning of July 2026, in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region a state of emergency has been declared. The reason for imposing this regime was the failure of the main capacities of Kherson region’s energy complex, which led to “significant damage and disruptions to the population’s living conditions”.
The region lacks electricity, water, and communications. Critical problems are also being observed in healthcare.
