The so-called governor of the Zaporizhia region Yevhen Balytskyi said that Russian military have deployed combat unmanned aerial vehicles to patrol the highway “Novorossiya”, which the occupiers use as a key logistical route of the land corridor to temporarily occupied Crimea.
This is reported by pro-Russian media.
According to him, the drones of the Russian forces are already on combat duty and allegedly destroyed several drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Balytskyi added that the situation on the highway remains “tense, but controlled”.
Recall that on the night of June 11 the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a number of logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region and on the administrative border with Crimea.
In particular, bridges across the North Crimean Canal in the area of Preobrazhenka and Myrne, the road bridge on the Perekop — Armyansk direction, as well as a bridge in the area of the settlement Stavky, were hit.
Days earlier the Chonhar bridge was hit and one of the bridges that connects Henichesk and the Arabat Spit.
According to Ukrainian military, due to the strike on the Chonhar bridge the supply of Russian forces through Crimea was disrupted.
