The occupation authorities announced their intention to allocate 30 billion rubles for the allegedly “modernization” of housing and communal services of left-bank Kherson region in 2025-2030.
This was stated by the Russian-appointed so-called acting head of the region’s government, Semen Mashkautsan.
According to the occupation official, about 90% of water supply and sewage networks are in critical condition, which, they claim, requires large-scale reconstruction.
The occupiers say that with the money they allegedly want to repair and build treatment facilities, renovate 60 filtration and pumping stations and replace 975 km of engineering networks, build the main water pipeline Kakhovka – Nova Kakhovka – Tavriisk and a pressure collector, and also repair the heating system in 14 schools, hospitals and kindergartens in Skadovsk, Henichesk and Ivanivka.
It should be recalled that recently the Russian government approved three infrastructure treasury loans for the development of water supply for the temporarily occupied Kherson region in the amount of approximately 300 million rubles.
And before that, the occupation governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo announced an increase in tariffs for housing and communal services on the left bank. And this is already not the first increase in the cost of services.
At the same time in Kakhovka people complained that they do not receive any communal services, however they are forced to pay for them in full.
It is also known that employees of the housing and communal sector from the occupied territories of Kherson region were sent to St. Petersburg to take a course on collecting debts from the population for communal services.
