The Russian government decided to approve three infrastructure treasury loans for the development of water supply in the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast.
This was announced by the occupation governor of Kherson Oblast, Volodymyr Saldo.
According to Saldo, it is about 300 million rubles. These funds are allegedly to be used for the replacement and modernization of pumping stations and treatment facilities.
Information about the restoration, repair of the system and the construction of new water supply networks in the occupied part of Kherson Oblast has appeared before.
Thus, in 2024 the occupiers already promised to allocate 1.5 billion rubles for repairs. However, almost daily, the occupiers themselves write about the lack of water in villages due to emergency repair works.
Obviously, the constant lack of water in the vast majority of settlements on the left bank of Kherson Oblast is linked to the blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by the Russians in June 2023, which the occupation authorities long denied.
Later Volodymyr Saldo nevertheless confirmed the existence of water problems, however, to hide the critical state of the infrastructure information about water supply facilities was classified.
