An occupation court in the left-bank area of the Kherson region issued a verdict against a resident of Oleshky, who was accused of “fictitious registration of foreign nationals in the migration records on the territory of the Russian Federation”.
This was reported by media controlled by the Russian Federation.
According to the occupiers, the woman entered into the documents information about the alleged arrival of two citizens of Uzbekistan and their registration at a certain address, although she was not the receiving party and knew for certain that these people did not actually live there.
Such actions, the occupation investigation claims, deprived the local migration department of the ability to control the stay of foreigners on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The occupation court found the woman guilty under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or a stateless person at a place of stay. She allegedly fully admitted guilt.
She was given an 8-month suspended sentence with a probation period of 6 months.
It should be noted that under Russian law fictitious registration of foreign citizens is a criminal offense and carries liability in the form of a fine ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 rubles, or compulsory labor for a term of up to 3 years, or imprisonment for up to 3 years. Because of the occupation, such punishment also threatens residents of the left-bank area of the Kherson region.
