Traffic across the Chonhar Strait, where the bridge deck was damaged the day before as a result of a drone attack, has been restored in reverse mode.
This was reported by the occupying governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.
It is claimed that the damaged area of the bridge has already been inspected, and repair work is promised to be carried out in “the shortest possible time”.
Recall, on the night of June 7 Ukrainian units struck the bridge in the Chonhar area in the temporarily occupied territory. After that the occupiers temporarily closed traffic through the automobile checkpoint “Dzhankoy”.
According to the Ukrainian military, Fire Point systems and unmanned aerial vehicles “Begemot” were used during the operation.
The military note that the bridge in Chonhar is one of the key supply routes for Russian troops, ammunition and fuel from temporarily occupied Crimea.
