The occupiers claim that 2200 children live in the so-called Oleshky municipal district.
Pro-Russian media report this.
“Despite the difficult situation, schools and kindergartens continue to operate in the district, where more than 2200 children attend”, – the propagandists cite the occupation governor of Kherson Oblast, Volodymyr Saldo.
Earlier the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported that about 6000 people, including 200 children, need evacuation from Oleshky and nearby areas.
Possible evacuation routes were discussed by Ukrainian authorities with the Russian Federation on May 15.
Note that the situation in Oleshky remains critical. The city lacks stable electricity and gas supplies, and access to drinking water is limited. People are forced to conserve basic resources, and food deliveries are often complicated due to the danger of shelling.
