On the left bank of Kherson region, the occupiers sent to court the case against a 41-year-old resident of Kakhovka, who is accused of “espionage” and “treason”.
This was reported by the occupation prosecutor’s office of Kherson region.
According to the occupiers, the man is suspected of having, in November 2023, on the territory of Kakhovka district, allegedly collected and transmitted to Ukrainian special services data about the locations of Russian military equipment and personnel.
It is also stated that in the period from April to September 2024, already after obtaining Russian citizenship, the man continued to transmit information about the deployment of Russian forces.
According to the investigation, this information could have been used to strike positions of Russian troops.
Earlier it was reported that the occupation prosecutor’s office of Kakhovka district approved an illegal indictment in a criminal case against a resident of Nova Kakhovka. The woman is accused of publicly disseminating “deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of Russia”.
