The occupiers want to reinter the remains of more than 500 people, allegedly discovered on the outskirts of Henichesk on the left bank of the Kherson region. These are people killed in 1941–1942.
This was reported by pro-Russian media.
The tentative date for the reburial was set for June 22, 2026. The occupation authorities announced the formation of a working group that included representatives of structures controlled by the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the occupation administration call the upcoming ceremony a “civil memorial service”.
Earlier we wrote that in the Kherson region an occupation court is establishing the fact of genocide of the peoples of the Soviet Union.
