The commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine selected the first 79 lyceums that will pilot the senior school reform from 1 September 2026. Lyceum No. 3 of the Novokakhovka City Council was included in the list of institutions recommended to participate in the second stage of the experimental project.
This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In total, the list includes lyceums from 23 oblasts of Ukraine and Kyiv. Among them are educational institutions of different project capacities, in-person and remote, from urban and rural areas, with various profiles, as well as an institution with instruction in the language of national minorities.
In total, it is planned that 150 lyceums will take part in the piloting.
They will be among the first in Ukraine to offer students a choice of educational trajectory and will introduce new programs for compulsory and elective subjects and courses. Participation in the pilot also includes the introduction of the position of a career education advisor, who will help students choose a profile, decide on elective subjects and courses, make plans for the future and form a plan to achieve professional goals.
Each institution will receive funding within the NUSH subsidy to equip classrooms and laboratories.
It is noted that the first stage of piloting the Profiled — the senior school reform — began on 1 September 2025. 30 lyceums from 19 oblasts are implementing a model of students choosing profiles and subjects. From 1 September 2026 the second stage of piloting will begin, which provides for the participation of a larger number of educational institutions.
Recall that in 2026 the Kherson Regional Military Administration allocated 270 832 942 hryvnias for financing the education sector. The funds will be directed to the Department of Education and Science of the Kherson Regional State Administration
