The court convicted in absentia a resident of Nova Kakhovka, Olena Terekhova, who during the occupation took a position in the occupying branch of the Russian Pension and Social Insurance Fund for the Kherson region.
This is stated in the court’s verdict.
The investigation established that at the end of December 2022 Terekhova took the position of acting head of the illegal client service of the so-called Novokakhovka municipal district in the occupying branch of the Russian Pension and Social Insurance Fund for the Kherson region.
In the pseudo-position Terekhova performed organizational and managerial functions: she managed the activities of subordinates, allocated duties, supervised their work and interacted with institutions and organizations.
Witnesses in court confirmed that after the occupation Olena Terekhova expressed readiness to work under the new conditions. Her activities were also documented in publications on Telegram channels, where she, together with other employees, provided services to the population according to Russian rules.
The court found Olena Terekhova guilty under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced her to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
She was also banned from holding positions in state authorities and from engaging in activities related to the electoral process for 15 years.
It is known that Terekhova worked from 2016 until August 2022 as a chief specialist in the citizen service department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
Recall that on April 21 the Vinnytsia City Court issued a verdict against the liquidated Kherson collaborator Volodymyr Lyapkin. He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
