A resident of Nova Kakhovka who illegally headed a technical college during the occupation has been notified of suspicion in absentia.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigators, the man agreed to manage the institution that the occupying authorities created on the basis of a seized Ukrainian vocational-technical school.
Note that, according to the data of the business connections system YouControl World, the institution is currently headed by Hennadiy Ivantsov. In the 1990s he managed the Novokakhovskyi house-building combine.
According to law enforcement, after Ivantsov was appointed to run the college, he moved instruction to Russian programs, replaced Ukrainian textbooks and symbols with Russian ones, and also organized that documentation be maintained in Russian.
In addition, the man urged teachers to work at the occupation-run institution, recruited staff and students, and helped register the college according to Russian rules.
He is accused of collaborationist activity and aiding the aggressor state (Part 3 of Art. 111-1, Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
