A 61-year-old female scientist from Kherson, who during the Russian occupation headed a department at the seized Kherson National University and implemented there the educational standards of the aggressor country, has been notified of suspicion.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Police.
According to the investigation, in spring 2022 the occupying authorities seized the premises of Kherson National University and created on its basis an educational institution — «Kherson Technical University». It was there that the suspect, a candidate of technical sciences, agreed to work. There she assumed the position of the so-called associate professor of the Department of Management and Marketing.
The woman conducted instruction exclusively in Russian and taught the discipline «Introduction to Professional Activity».
The suspect’s actions were classified under Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — collaborationist activity.
As a reminder, the Vinnytsia City Court issued a verdict to a resident of the Kherson region, a former employee of the Kherson City Council, Lyudmyla Palmash, who voluntarily headed the occupation Financial Supervision Service. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
