The head of the Department of Education of the Kherson City Council, Natalia Zhurzhenko, will be dismissed from her position.
Sources in the Kherson MCA told MOST about this.
“She will be dismissed from next Monday”, – the source said.
There are no precise details about the reasons for Zhurzhenko’s dismissal.
Natalia Zhurzhenko worked in the department for many years and headed one of the divisions.
In the summer of 2021 she was appointed to the position of head by competition. Before that Ihor Kolykhaiev dismissed her predecessor Yurii Nikonov, who helped him in the 2020 elections.
The swap of Nikonov for Zhurzhenko took place as one of the stages of the struggle for budget funds between the old food suppliers and the new ones brought in by Kolykhaiev’s people.
As sources from MOST said then, Natalia Zhurzhenko agreed to sign any documents that would be brought to her by the humanitarian deputy Serhii Tsyhanka.
After her appointment, Kolykhaiev’s people, headed by his chief personal bodyguard Viktor Skiba, seized the school food market and the supply of products.
But they could not start working properly due to the weak cognitive and organizational abilities of the “businessmen” who were appointed as winners of the tenders.
In 2023 Zhurzhenko was involved in a scandal over the purchase of an expensive car, on which she planned to transport boilers.
In November 2023 Mrochko forced Kherson teachers to promote his Telegram channel, and Natalia Zhurzhenko was the author of the message that teachers forwarded in their chats.
In August last year the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, conferred on Natalia Zhurzhenko the honorary title “Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine”.
