The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Chernivtsi has sentenced the head of the internal audit department of the occupying tax service of Kherson Oblast.
This is stated in the court verdict.
As the investigation found, in the summer of 2022 the man joined the occupying authority, which was later reorganized into the so‑called directorate of the Federal Tax Service for Kherson Oblast.
In his position at the tax service he organized the work of the internal audit department, developed and approved plans for conducting internal audits of the management’s structural units, organized the carrying out of internal inspections, controlled the execution of audit checks, etc.
According to law enforcement, he still performs these functions, continuing to work in an occupation institution in the city of Skadovsk on the left bank of Kherson region.
The court in absentia found him guilty of collaborationist activities and sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
