It has been reported that a serviceman from Kherson region, Oleksandr Popov, has died.
This was reported on the Vysokopillia SVA page on Facebook.
Oleksandr Popov was born in the Odesa region, but had lived since childhood in the village of Novomykolaivka, Beryslav district, Kherson region.
In 2024 he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as an artilleryman, later as a machine gunner of the mortar platoon of the mortar mechanized battalion of military unit A0409.
The serviceman was killed on 7 June 2026 on the Donetsk front.
A farewell ceremony for the fallen soldier will take place on 13 June in Novomykolaivka.
