A serviceman from Nova Kakhovka, Mykola Yakymenko, was killed in the war. He was 39 years old.

Mykola Yakymenko was born in Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region.
In 2025 he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served with the 5th Assault Brigade.
On March 4, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, the serviceman received fatal wounds as a result of artillery shelling.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, his wife, and his son.
