In the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections is increasing.
This is reported by pro-Russian Telegram channels.
According to the occupiers, 591 cases of ARVI were recorded in the last week, which is 26% more than the week before, when 472 patients were registered.
It is noted that since the beginning of the epidemic season, 109 cases of influenza have been laboratory-confirmed in the region. Just last week another seven cases were detected.
The influenza A (H3N2) virus, known as the “Hong Kong flu”, is most often detected among patients.
The largest share of those infected are children aged 7 to 14 — about 52% of all cases. Adults make up approximately one third of the patients.
Earlier it was reported that getting an appointment with specialists at Kakhovka polyclinics is only possible through “live” queues that residents occupy from 5 a.m. Due to an acute shortage of staff, only part of the queue manage to get a ticket, while other patients are forced to go without help.
Recall that as of May 2025, hospitals in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region were staffed with medical personnel at only 37%. Medical services were satisfactory for 34% of the population there.
