In 2026, four breeding farms are planned to be established in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
The occupying governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, reported this.
According to him, this concerns the development of meat, dairy and sheep farming sectors. It is expected that the enterprises will receive the status of breeding farms.
As noted, such status provides access to state subsidies for maintaining animals, compensation for purchasing young stock, and the ability to establish their own breeding selection base.
At present it is not specified in which communities these farms are planned to be created, who will become their “founders” and from which sources the implementation will be financed.
Recall, recently the Biosphere Reserve «Askania-Nova» announced a threat to the preservation of populations of hoofed animals due to unfavorable weather conditions and a shortage of feed.
