The occupation administration on the left bank of Kherson Oblast plans to organize additional transport routes toward Crimea.
This was stated by the occupation governor of Kherson Oblast, Volodymyr Saldo.
According to him, the creation of new corridors is allegedly necessary to ease traffic and reduce queues on the main routes. He claims that this should ensure a calmer and more convenient passage.
It is recalled that in late May the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a number of pieces of equipment of the occupying forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. In particular, the land corridor to Crimea came under attack.
In connection with this, the occupation governor Volodymyr Saldo signed a decree on the temporary restriction of freight traffic on highway R-280 “Novorossiya”.
In addition, Saldo said that on the left bank of Kherson region they will create “volunteer battalion” BARS “Kherson”, which is to engage in countering Ukrainian drones.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, reported that the Russian Federation may be forced to use the Kerch Bridge more actively to transport military cargo and fuel amid depleted reserves and problems with ferry logistics.
