In one of the stores in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the occupiers tested a new system for selling alcoholic beverages with age verification through the “Max” app.
Pro-Russian media report this.
It is noted that when buying alcohol users are automatically redirected to the “State Services” portal, where they must undergo identification. After age confirmation the system allows completing the purchase.
The so-called head of the Department for Trade Development of the occupation Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Kherson region, Oleksandr Pryadko, said that the innovation “is intended to prevent the sale of alcohol to minors”.
Earlier we wrote that Russia is promoting the MAX messenger in the occupied territories. Viber, Facebook, Instagram remain blocked there. Also, residents of the TOT do not have access to Google services, including Youtube.
