On the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast there are currently 416 children with the statuses of orphans, children deprived of parental care, and adopted.
This was reported by Suspilne Kherson.
In addition, 541 adopted children are registered, of whom 72 remained with adoptive parents on the left bank.
Also, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as of 1 February 2026, 1248 orphans and children deprived of parental care were registered with child welfare services. Of these, 344 are on the temporarily occupied territory of the oblast.
Note that, as of November 2025, in the Kherson region more than 95% of orphans and children deprived of parental care were already placed under guardianship or care.
