A fuel shortage is intensifying in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region. There is practically no gasoline at gas stations, so local residents can purchase it only from illegal sellers.
As reported by local residents to MOST, resellers sell fuel mainly to trusted customers, since occupation security forces regularly conduct raids and pursue those engaged in illegal trade.
Until recently in Nova Kakhovka and surrounding villages a 20-liter canister of gasoline of unknown quality could be bought for 5 thousand rubles. However, last weekend the price rose to 8 thousand rubles. At the same time, finding fuel has become even more difficult.
Local residents note that the fuel shortage significantly complicates movement within the occupied communities and affects the cost of transportation.
Also, recall that in temporarily occupied Kakhovka of Kherson region another increase in passenger transport fares has been recorded.
Also note, in the villages of the Oleshky community they demand up to 20 thousand rubles for a gas cylinder .
Back in August we wrote that in the territory of Henichesk district on the left bank of Kherson region gasoline is sold at 350 rubles (≈ 150 UAH) per liter, and finding it for sale is extremely difficult.
Recall, at the end of May the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of strikes on equipment of the occupying forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. In particular, the land corridor to Crimea was hit.
After that the occupation authorities stated that the situation on the fuel market in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region remains tense, but allegedly controlled. At the same time, a system of issuing fuel by coupons was introduced.
