A Russian police officer, Oleksiy Sazhin, who served in the so-called Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Holoprystansky”, was eliminated in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
This was reported by correspondents “IPC-Pivden”.
The incident occurred on February 28. According to propaganda sources, five people were killed and six more were wounded as a result of a strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At first, occupation media claimed that only the so-called police were affected, and then began to claim that civilians were also hit, but Kremlin-controlled media did not reach a single version.
According to IPC-Pivden, Oleksiy Sazhin was eliminated on February 28. His mother announced his death on a Russian social network, thanking those who came to the farewell ceremony.

It is known that Sazhin was a senior police lieutenant and originally from Vologda, Russia. In 2009 he graduated from the Vologda Institute of Law and Economics of the Federal Penitentiary Service. He completed his conscript service as part of the Northern Fleet of Russia. Until 2020 he worked in units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vologda and the Vologda district.
Open sources also indicate that Sazhin’s family supports Russian aggression against Ukraine. In particular, his father spreads propaganda posts on social networks, and his sister vacations at resorts in occupied Crimea, IPC-Pivden writes.
Earlier it was reported that in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region they eliminated a participant of the Russian ‘peddesant’ who worked with children.
