In the village of Nove in Kyiv region they laid to rest Senior Sergeant Serhiy Sundenko. The serviceman, who was originally from Kherson region, died in February 2026 as a result of an enemy attack.

Senior Sergeant Serhiy Sundenko died on February 24, 2026 while carrying out a combat mission. The defender’s life was cut short by a strike from a Russian drone.
The burial ceremony took place on March 4 in the village of Nove in Kyiv region. Family, comrades-in-arms and community representatives bade farewell to the warrior.
The death of the fellow countryman was reported by Stanislav village head Ivan Samoylenko. Serhiy was a native of the village of Sofiivka of the Stanislav community in Kherson region, but due to the war and occupation the farewell was organized at the family’s temporary place of residence.
