In the Kherson region, specialists of the regional blood service center have conducted more than 4,500 donations since the beginning of the year.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, about 20 donors register at the center every day. Safe conditions of stay must be ensured for all of them — for this the laboratories have been equipped with new equipment, power supplies and charging stations, which allows them to operate even in the event of power outages.
Overall, the facility provides collection, processing, testing and storage of blood components, as well as training donor personnel and issuing products to medical institutions in Kherson and the region.
Blood service staff also continue to travel to communities in the region to carry out blood collection on site.
