In the Kherson region in the 2025–2026 academic year, 170 general secondary education institutions and nine branches operated, where 50,215 students were enrolled.

Most schools — 164 — operated remotely, while six others operated in a hybrid format.
As of the end of May 2026, 81 schools in the Kherson region had been destroyed by Russian shelling, and another 303 educational institutions were damaged.
In the Kherson territorial community, 10 educational institutions were destroyed and 137 were damaged.
Currently, 19,366 students attend the community’s schools, of whom 3,576 children are directly in the community.
Recall, during the academic year education in the Kherson community was obtained by over 19,000 students. The educational process was provided by 45 general secondary education institutions.
