From March 1, pensions in the Kherson region were indexed. 190.8 thousand pensioners in the region received increases.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kherson Oblast.
In total, pensions were indexed for 197.5 thousand residents of the region. In 2026 the indexation coefficient is 1.121, or 12.1%. It was determined taking into account 50% of inflation for 2025 (8%) and 50% of the increase in the average wage for 2023–2025 (16.11%).
The average increase in the Kherson region amounts to 573.24 UAH. As of March 1 the average pension in the region is 6,102.34 UAH — that is 675.44 UAH, or 12.4%, more than a year ago.
The size of the increase was determined individually — from 100 to 2,595 UAH. More than 11.6 thousand pensioners received up to an additional 250 UAH, more than 112 thousand received from 250 to 500 UAH, more than 50.1 thousand received from 500 to 950 UAH, and about 16.8 thousand people received more than 950 UAH.
The indexation applies to pensions assigned by December 31, 2025. It concerns pensioners of the general system, military pensioners, people with disabilities as a result of the Chornobyl disaster, and recipients of pensions for special merits.
At the same time, different coefficients were applied to pensions assigned in different years. For payments assigned before 2021 the full coefficient 1.121 was used. For pensions of 2021–2022 — 1.061, for 2023 — 1.048, for 2024 — 1.036, and for 2025 — 1.024.
The Pension Fund noted that the recalculation was carried out automatically, so pensioners do not need to contact the institution.
In addition, from April 1 an automatic recalculation of pensions is planned for working pensioners who continued to work after their pensions were assigned.
Recall that pensioners who are abroad for more than 183 days a year or have received temporary protection in connection with the Russian aggression, must annually undergo physical identification – the procedure of verifying identity through official documents.
