Since the start of the full-scale invasion, as a result of Russian shelling in the Kherson region, 39 children have been killed, and another 257 have been injured.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It is also noted that nearly 10,000 civilians in the region have suffered mine and explosive injuries.
The Ministry of Health added that currently about 25 emergency medical teams operate daily in the Kherson region. They handle between 150 and 200 calls per day.
During the first months of 2026, emergency medical teams carried out more than 14,000 dispatches.
As a reminder, during April 2026 238 people were injured in the Kherson community, and 20 civilians were killed by Russian troops.
Earlier it was also reported that in the Kherson region the intensity has significantly increased of Russian drone attacks. Over the past week, the occupiers sent more than 5,000 drones to the right bank.
