In the Kherson region, the intensity of Russian drone attacks has significantly increased. Over the past week the occupiers have directed more than 5000 drones at the right bank.
This was said on air by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
“Last year there were 2500 attacks per week. This month it reaches up to 5500 attacks per week”, — he said.
Also, according to Prokudin, nearly 19 700 strike drones were launched across the region in April alone.
“They hit transport directly: civilian, municipal, ambulances, minibuses”, — the official said.
It should be noted that, according to the deputy head of the Kherson RMA Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, it is impossible to fully cover the entire Kherson with anti-drone nets in a short time due to the scale of the work and the complexity of the conditions for carrying them out.
Overall, in the Kherson region more than 170 kilometers of anti-drone nets have already been installed.
In addition, in some places turrets are being installed that use AI technologies to shoot down drones.
