There are 570 advocates working in Kherson region — this is one of the smallest numbers among all regions of Ukraine. Fewer specialists are recorded only in Sumy region.
This is evidenced by data from the analytical platform Opendatabot.
Overall, as of the end of October, Ukraine has 52 960 advocates. At the same time, back in the summer the National Association of Advocates of Ukraine reported 53 361 active practitioners, meaning that over the autumn the number of advocates decreased by 401 people.
Despite this, compared to the beginning of the full-scale invasion the number of advocates in Ukraine has increased by 8%.
According to the register, the profession remains predominantly male — 59% of advocates are men.

We recently wrote that the High Council of Justice submitted to the president a submission to appoint a lawyer from Kherson region Volodymyr Bondar as a judge of the Sumy Court of Appeal.
