In the Kherson region, two men have been notified of suspicion after assuming leadership positions in the occupation’s Ministry of Agriculture.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this.
According to the investigation, the suspects, aged 53 and 38, in August 2022 took leadership positions in the occupying Ministry of Agriculture. One became the so‑called head of the Legal Expertise and Judicial Work Department of the Department of Legal Work, the other the unlawful head of the Administrative and Economic Department of the Department of Administrative Work.
In these positions the men organized the work of their departments and managed subordinates. One provided legal support to the illegal authority, representing its interests in courts and other bodies operating under Russian legislation. The other handled the administrative and economic side: from purchasing stationery to security and transport logistics.
The men are suspected of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111‑1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
