In the Kherson region, 6 minors were officially employed for January–July 2026.
This is evidenced by data from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, published by Opendatabot.
Meanwhile, across Ukraine in the first seven months of the year 5 015 teenagers under 18 were officially employed. Almost all of them are boys and girls aged 16–17, whereas in the 14–15 age category across the country only one child was officially employed (in Odesa region).
Over 55% of all employed teenagers are concentrated in two regions – Kyiv — 1 642 minors and Dnipropetrovsk region — 1 100 children.
In Ukraine, it is officially allowed to work from the age of 16 (from 15 with parental consent, and from 14 — in light work outside school hours).
For minors, the law establishes reduced working hours (from 24 to 36 hours per week) and a complete ban on heavy, hazardous, and night work.
