Two more locations of the «Unified Route of Places of Memory» have appeared in the Kherson region. Information stands were installed in Chornobaivka and Bilohirka of the Velykooleksandrivska community.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The project is being implemented with the support of the State Agency for Tourism Development and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. Its goal — to preserve and document the stories of the Ukrainian people’s heroic resistance to Russian aggression.
Chornobaivka has become one of the symbols of resistance to the occupying Russian forces. It was there that columns of enemy military equipment were repeatedly destroyed, and local residents helped Ukrainian servicemen and contributed to the liberation of the region.
Another location was arranged in the village of Bilohirka of the Velykooleksandrivska community — on one of the key defensive lines of the Kherson region. Fierce fighting there lasted for almost half a year, and in September 2022 the village was liberated by Ukrainian forces. As a result of Russian attacks, Bilohirka suffered extensive destruction; the settlement is now gradually being restored.
Information stands with QR codes were installed at both locations, through which you can learn more about the resistance events in the Kherson region.
