In the Kherson region preparations are underway for possible power outages during the winter period. A fuel reserve is already being created in the region that can ensure the operation of infrastructure during a blackout.
This was reported by the deputy head of the Kherson OVA Oleksandr Tolokonnikov on the air of “We-Ukraine”.
It is noted, that more than 50 water supply stations are already operating on alternative energy sources, and the rest are provided with generators.
However, in Kherson itself there is no possibility to connect the stations to alternative power sources; uninterrupted operation is ensured here by generators, Tolokonnikov reported.
That is why there must be a strategic fuel reserve. The regional authorities are preparing it for at least 7 days, the broadcast said.
Recall that the Kherson region constantly suffers from Russian strikes, utility workers are working in extremely difficult conditions while restoring electricity, water supply and the operation of municipal transport.
Just yesterday the Russians massively shelled the Kherson region, 13 people were wounded, dozens of buildings were damaged.
Earlier MOST wrote that in Kherson 62.5 million UAH were allocated to increase the salaries of employees of municipal enterprises
