In the Kherson region, a local farmer discovered fragments of a Russian UAV during fieldwork, the warhead of which did not detonate.
The incident was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Rivne Oblast.
Specialists promptly arrived at the scene, rendered safe the warhead of the “Shahed” that had remained intact, after which they transported it to a demolition site and neutralized it.
Such incidents are not isolated: recently law enforcement officers found an unexploded enemy drone that had fallen near residential buildings. It was also neutralized.
The press service also reports that in nearly two months, specialists of the explosive ordnance disposal service of the Rivne police, as part of a combined detachment in Kherson, managed to destroy about 700 munitions.
“The danger here is not only on the ground but also from the sky. Shelling of the Kherson region by FPV drones is a daily reality that requires constant readiness from us,” says Police Major Andriy Volianyuk.
