Poles with anti-drone nets fell and blocked traffic due to significant ice accumulation on the nets themselves.
This was reported on air by the Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.
According to him, due to the ice buildup the nets became six times heavier.
“The nets did not tear, but the supports could not hold. Of course, when one support falls – those nearby fall as well”, – said Tolokonnikov.
The official also noted that traffic on this section of the road was restored yesterday, with reversible traffic introduced.
As a reminder, today in Kherson the operation of electric transport was suspended due to repair work and adverse weather conditions.
