Yuriy studied at the Shyroka Balka secondary school, after graduating from which he trained as a welder.
After the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine, Yuriy Stepanenko was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He was killed at the age of 39.
