This year six online outlets and one television channel from Kherson region were included in the list of recommended media according to the public organization “Institute of Mass Information” and the publication “Detector Media”.
The Institute of Mass Information reports this.
Among the recognized media: “МОСТ”, “Suspilne Kherson”, “Hryvnia”, “Vhoru”, “Raion.Henichesk”, “IRS-Pivden” and also the television channel “Suspilne Kherson”.
This year 253 media outlets from all regions of Ukraine entered the interactive “Map of recommended media”. That is 48 more media than in 2024.
“This year our Map has significantly expanded. For society this means a simple but critically important thing. In times of war and Russian information attacks, despite all challenges, there are more editorial offices in Ukraine that work transparently, adhere to standards, and take responsibility for the trust of readers, listeners, and viewers”, — said the director of the Institute of Mass Information Oksana Romaniuk.
The media were assessed by experts from the public organizations IMI and DM for October–November 2025. The assessment was conducted using a methodology of 14 criteria related to transparency, professional standards, and journalistic ethics.
The Institute of Mass Information’s experts evaluated online media, while “Detector Media” handled the evaluation of radio and television channels.
Recall that last year the map included four online publications and one television channel from Kherson region.
